Spamhaus®

ClickZ News reports that Spamhaus is now a registered trademark in Europe. This trademark was obtained with the permission and support of the Hormel corporation, the owners of the SPAM® trademark, who conceivably could have put up a fuss and opposed Spamhaus.

It's not immediately clear to me why Spamhaus needs a trademark, but I can imagine all sorts of nasty legal tangles this could avoid in the future. Kudos goes to Hormel for being so gracious about it all.
